Here are a few of the day to day things that go on with Tanner in our home. We love him dearly and give thanks every day to Heavenly Father that he is part of our family.
Tanner loves to go swimming! He is always asking us if he can "go swimming." Tanner got into the swim bag and decided to get ready to go swimming all by himself. He took of his shorts and put on his swim diaper. He even handed me the sun block and as he rubbed his chest said, "sun block" letting me know he wanted me to put the sunblock on him. Too funny. We try to get out to the pool where we have a pass or to seven peaks were we have a pass at least once a week for this little guy.
Tanner has been trying so hard to dress himself lately. He usually can get his pajamas off fine by himself, but he struggles getting dressed alone still. This was his attempt at shorts. Both legs went into one leg hole. He kept falling over until he came to me so I could help him get dressed properly.
Tanner loves ice-cream. He went for it the other day when we went to Yogurt Land for after FHE. It was really fun.
Bubbles and Books at the Library! After story time at the library they always do bubbles. Tanner really enjoys them. We have been going to story time lately with our friend Jing and her sweet daughter Lotus. It is great to get out and just be a mom! Jing came to our house after story time. I got this cute picture of all three of them. Tanner was enjoying a story Jing was reading to him. He wasn't too thrilled with Lotus tried to join the fun. I had to remind him that Jing is Lotus' mom, and she can sit on her lap too.
Tanner is trying SO hard to be a big boy and go potty lately. He's showing a few signs that he is ready. His diaper is usually dry when he wakes up and he TOTALLY is showing an interest (he is always going to the toilet asking to go "pee pee" as he pulls down his diaper).
The problem is he never actually goes to the bathroom. He just stands there, sometimes we watch the singing time "Potty Time" song on my phone, he likes to wipe himself, flush the toilet, and wash his hands...but YEP, he's still not peeing in the toilet.
Am I being lazy? I don't want to tackle potty training till Tanner is WAY ready to do this. I mean, I want to try to work at it for about a week and have him magically potty trained. I don't know if he's to that point yet, but a few times a day he is pulling down his diaper and trying to run into the bathroom to go potty. I'm sure if I let him run around without cloths on, he would figure it out and slowly make the connection and learn to pee in the toilet. We could work on potty training, but I don't like messes and I'm just not sure I'm up for it yet....hahaha! We'll have to see how this one plays out!
This is Tanner's favorite thing to do. Blanket over his head when he sleeps. Yep! It still makes me nervous every time he does it. I am always sneaking into his room once he has fallen asleep to try to remove the blanket from around his head. What a silly, silly, boy!
Cute! We miss you guys! Tanner is getting so big! Can't believe he is almost 2!
