Blocks and Puzzles

Tanner is always asking us to play blocks with him. He loves to build castles and trucks. He's getting good at crashing his towers down with his dinosaur too. It's super cute.

Dad juggling with the blocks while Tanner plays.

This is a truck :)

We invited our friends Fatima and Jose to dinner the other night. They were so sweet and brought Tanner a gift. He loves his new dinosaur puzzle. Thank you!

Boise Trip

It was really fun to go to Boise and visit some of my best friends from high school. Thank you Kaylyn Palmer for letting Tanner and me stay at your home. You are so wonderful! It was so great to see everyone, and I loved crafting/hanging out with you.

So fun to catch up with Booy and Matt at the park on Saturday.

Kaylyn, thank you so much for helping me make these pages for Tanner's quiet book! I love them :) (I'm making Tanner a quiet book for Christmas).

Sick Boy :(

So...I decided to finally potty train tanner. It's a three day method and I finally set aside three days without work, involved cooking, purchased prizes (if he needed encouragement) etc. The day I was to start he woke up really upset. Totally melted down when I put his big boy pants one, etc.

I finally realized around 10am that he had a fever. I felt horrible! By the end of the night his fever was up to 103.1...yuck! We took him to insticare and they couldn't figure out why he had such a high fever and heart rate. Thankfully he was better a few days later. He was one snuggle bunny for sure! That doesn't happen too often, so I enjoyed that. I didn't like him waking up every hour straight for two nights though....haha. That was less pleasant. We are grateful he is doing better. We started the potty training method again, about two weeks later and I'm happy to report he is doing really well. Yay!

We took tanner with us to pick up some pizza from the Sandy fun center. While we waited we let Tanner sit in front with us. He was sick and freaking out in the back. He loves to sit by the steering wheel. Thanks Trina for the free pizza coupons!

Stand for Marriage

Marriage is AMAZING! Trent and I (but mainly I, because of Trent's busy rotation schedule) have been getting a little involved in the "Stand for Marriage." We believe marriage should be between a man and a women and that every child has the right to be raised by both of their biological parents, wherein it is possible.

We have been hosting discussion/reading groups at our home through CanaVox (visit: canavox.com). It has been wonderful to discuss with friends in a safe atmosphere why man-women marriage is best for children and our society at large.

Here are some pictures from the rally at the capital. I also attended the the conference the following day in Provo. This week we almost had a reporter from the Washington Post come to our home to sit in on one of our CanaVox meetings. I was a little hesitant to have her come. I was worried that she might paint our picture from the wrong angle.

Our meetings are to help other people become educated about the topic of man-women marriage so they feel confident to discuss, in a kind way, from a research standpoint, how it benefits children and our society. After about two phone discussions and multiple emails with the reporter she didn't end up coming. I didn't want to disclose our personal information, and in the end she lost interest because I was being to picky about details she could or could not share. Haha....Thank goodness too, because I was potty training Tanner that week and on the day she would have come...like seriously 3 minutes before the meeting Tanner had a pooh pooh accident...lol.

I am so grateful that Trent and I have an awesome marriage! I love our rule to go on one date per week! We are still courting and it makes me happy :) This was a little picnic/hike we went on. Trent got a "spend $8 when you  $15 worth of food" deal from Dickey's. It was also their dollar Tuesday sandwich deal. We got a ton of food and only paid like $8. So great, and a fun night to enjoy the sunset.

Tanner's Birthday

I can't believe my little guy is two! Holy cow. When did that happen? I am so grateful for this boy! He brings so much happiness into our family. We love you Tanner!

His birthday celebration was spread across a few different days. On his birthday I felt we should do something, but it was a crazy day. We enjoyed some time on the playground and had Tanner open one of is presents. We wanted to take him to McDonald's (It's his new favorite place). Our ward had a dinner the night of his birthday so instead of going to McDonald's we went to the church and had fun. Then a few nights later we made it to McDonald's. Tanner loved it.

A bath on his big Party day! He loves baths! We had a family Party. Thanks everyone for coming. Tanner loved the attention.

Tanner gave some snuggles to grandpa Parkinson before the party.

Trent requested Hawaiian Haystacks for the family dinner. Thank you everyone for bringing the yummy sides and salads!

Time for presents. Tanner finally understood gifts this year. It was great to see him get so excited about everything.

Grandma gave him a bonk on the head. I think it surprised him...lol. It was cute. "Are you really going to bonk me?"

Dad looks almost as excited as Tanner! A Spider-man chair. Tanner is in love with miniature chairs, just his size.

He loved his phone from Aunt Erin and Uncle Ethan! So fun! Thank you :)

He loved his jacket and clothes from Grandma and Grandpa Adams. Thank you for sending those to him! He especially LOVES the shirt with the soccer ball on it :)

Cake Time! Tanner loved it! Daddy did such a great job on the cake too, he was the one who decorated it.

I was so proud of Tanner for blowing out his candles. Such a big boy!
