Biggest Snowman Ever! Well sort of....

Trent's best friend growing up came into town with his family. We had an enjoyable morning eating a nice brunch, visiting while the kids played, sledding, and then building a snowman. It was very fun! Thank you James and Sarah for visiting! My favorite pictures are of Trent, James, and Sarah trying to make the biggest snowman ever. Sadly their attempt to roll the third ball onto the, second ball (being used as a ramp), did not make it on top of the giant first ball. Instead we settled for a relaxed snowman who was laying down...he, he, he. Tanner was so tired from all the fun that he fell asleep while I was holding him. He NEVER EVER falls asleep while being held, so he must have been exhausted. When we got home he didn't even wake up when I took off his snowsuit to lay him down in his crib. Fun morning!

My book worm!

Tanner is a book lover! He has always enjoyed it when we would read books with him, but lately he is bringing the books to us so we will read with him. I also frequently find him looking at books by himself as I go throughout the day. Here are some pictures of Dad reading to Tanner. I also put a few when I caught Tanner reading by himself. While Trent and I were working on dinner in the kitchen Tanner moved some blankets and books into the hallway. I guess that is one place for a book nook...lol.

HELP!

I had to laugh! We were spending time at Grandma and Grandpa Parkinson's home while dad had to work a 12 hr Sat shift. Tanner was trying to get some toys out from their toy bin and he fell in. I probably should have helped him out right away, but I thought it would be more fun to take a picture. I'm not sure he appreciated it.

Mrs. Claus

We were able to see my aunt Ginger tell stories at the mall. She did an awesome job! It was a lot of fun! They even had free cookies and juice for the kids. We made it a get together with my aunt Darla joining us, as well as my sister and her kids. It was a nice evening!

SANTA

Santa came to visit the West Community Center so Tanner an I walked over to meet him. It was a lot of fun. They had free doughnuts and hot chocolate. Plus while you waited for your number to be called you could color, which Tanner enjoyed.

Who is this guy?

CHOCOLATE

My mother gave us some advent calendars for Christmas. Each day after dinner I have been giving Tanner his piece of chocolate from the calendar. The day I took this video Tanner spontaneously asked for a piece of chocolate at lunch. I gave him his piece early and this was his response afterward. He wanted another piece and he didn't want to take "no" for an answer! I think he is going to like the candy he finds in his stocking from Santa this year.

Big Boy

Tanner has recently started pushing everything, that he is strong enough to push, all around the house. In other words, big chairs, big buckets, etc. I caught him in the act with this shot. If he's not pushing something around he's likely climbing on it :) We love our big boy!

Drawing!

Tanner loves to draw with crayons, markers, and pens. Now if only I could get him to stay on the whiteboard or a piece of paper.

Sledding

Tanner's first time sledding this winter! He liked flying down the hill, but he wasn't a fan of the cold.

Baby two is on the way!

Turkey two is in the oven! Coming May 2014! We are excited to announce that our second child is on the way! Tanner can't wait to be a big brother! These two kiddos will be close in age. Tanner should be around 21 months of age when baby #2 arrives. We hope the closeness in age will help them become great friends with one another.
