St. George Adventures - A Day with Uncle Allen

While we were in St. George we were able to do fun things as a family on every other weekend, the weekends that we stayed in St. George and didn't drive back to South Jordan for Trent to work at his regular job. It was fun. This first adventure is us going around to some sites with Uncle Allen. He was so kind to show us around!

Tanner ready for the big day :) Trent was borrowing this hat from Grandma's house...somebody left it there and Trent thought it might be a good idea to use it to block the sun out. Tanner thought so too!

This was an old fort on the "Honeymoon Trail."

Allen tried to get a close up picture of some names that were written underneath this rock. I believe the pioneers used oil form their wagon wheels to do the writing. He about gave me a heart attack being so close to the edge.

Can you see some of their names?

Then we saw some of the dinosaur tracks. Tanner (and dad) thought these were pretty awesome. It was a lot of fun.

President's Day Weekend!

We were lucky enough to enjoy President's Day with Grandma Parkinson, Gerry and Allen, and Trina's family visiting Snow Canyon. It was really nice :) We enjoyed a few simple hikes and some fun time playing in the sand. It was great to visit with family and Tanner loved seeing his cousins.

Tanner just loves hanging around the Twins!

By the time we took this second picture Tanner was wanted nothing to do with pictures. He only wanted to run around and play with his cousins. Hahaha.....not the happiest face.

LOVE these TWO!

It was really windy up on this rock!

I should mention this hilarious thing that happened. While the adults were upstairs visiting the kids were SUPPOSED TO be going to bed downstairs. I went downstairs to check on them and found Torin, Tavian, and Tanner gathered around trying to play Blockus....haha. The were caught in the act!!! The twins had helped Tanner push over his playpen so he could get out and play with them. All of the older kids were sleeping...just the three younger ones were up. Trent was so worried about losing one of the pieces, but thankfully they were all still there. I wonder what trouble these three will get into once they are older :/
