Valentine's Day

This post is like WAY LATE in coming...but here is Valentine's Day 2015! Tanner thought the candy and puzzle from Grandma and Grandpa Parkinson was awesome and he really enjoyed his stickers and card from Grandma and Grandpa Adams. He is one spoiled kid! Thanks mom and dad, both sets of you, for making Valentine's so easy on us. Trent and I only gave Tanner a new animal puzzle (not seen in these pictures). Oh, and he had to share this moment with his favorite rabbit stuffed animal. Those two look cute together :)

I love this one with his tongue out...he was trying so hard to get those stickers off the page...lol.

We were also blessed to get "heart attacked" on Valentine's Day from our ward members. They were sharing their love for us after losing son Zion. Do you see all of the notes tapped to the door???? Those were all sweet messages from our friends sharing their love and support. We felt (and continue to feel) so loved during such a hard time for our family! We are grateful to have such wonderful friends and neighbors.

A few days before Valentine's Day Trent and I went to an awesome "Share Parents of Utah" event....a "Valentine's Gala." I figured we were going to spend money on a Valentine's date and this would also be helpful in a healing sort of a way as we were working through Zion's loss...as well as the other losses we have gone through.

So we went for it and splurged, spending a bit more than normal on our date. We enjoyed a quiet evening at the Aquarium. It was only open to our group for the evening which was AWESOME. They also had their workers walking around to tell us about the exhibits. Then we enjoyed a nice dinner while we listed to Dr. Matt Townsend, a pretty popular Marriage and Family Councilor talk on "Marriage and Loss." That was topped off by ice-cream sundays and a take home gift. It was great.
