President and Hermana Garcia came to visit Utah! It was great to see them again. Such loving people who are amazing example of who a disciples of Christ is. I'm so grateful I was able to serve in the mission field with them!
We went out to play on the playground as a family after it had rained. We were able to catch this amazing double rainbow. It is sort of hard to see in this picture though. The darker one is lower in the sky :)
Tanner and I will have "Mommy - Tanner Dates" sometimes on Saturdays. It helps make dad's 12 hour working days seem not so hard. Hahaha, well at least for us. I'm sure the 12 hours are still hard for dad. Basically I just make an effort to get out and do something fun together with Tanner. We enjoyed a nice walk around the lake where my parents live and then we went swimming. Good times!
I decided to take a break during our walk to sit in these chairs. Tanner wanted to sit too so I got him out of the stroller. We enjoyed watching the birds and listening to the wind wrestle through the leaves.
I also worked on making a meal board during this same weekend. My cousin gave me the AWESOME idea and I mainly copied her board when I made mine, but I'm just glad I made it. I even sewed pockets for the recipe cards. I still am working on typing those cards, but imagine this board with 7 recipe cards on it for the week. I'm way excited to start planning weekly meals and finally having the recipes all organized so it will be easy to make my shopping list. So EXCITED!
