Tanner's hair keeps growing. We have already cut it once, but it was getting to a point where it needed to be cut again. I thought it would be fun to have a crazy hair day before we cut it. Thanks dad for letting us use your hair gel ;)
Tanner has recently been opening his drawers when he is in his crib, but not asleep yet. He loves to say the word "jammies" and every time I find him with his crib like this with his drawers open he starts pointing to his pajamas and says in a very excited voice, "Jammies!" Too bad his room is so small, or we would move his drawers further away from his crib. Oh, the joys of living at the village!
I was lucky enough to watch my friends little guy a couple of days a week for about a month. She had to go back to work for a short period of time. It was fun to have a little one around the house. Tanner was so sweet with him. He kept trying to put his binky in his mouth (even when he wasn't crying), and share his toys with him. Thankfully he was usually soft around him. We enjoyed having him in our home.
We enjoyed a play date at the splash pad with Trina and some of her friends. Tanner was mainly into playing on the playground next to the splash pad and eating his bread. It was a little overcast, so I don't blame the kid, but I did find it funny that he only went in the water like two times, when I made him. Usually he loves the water. It was nice to get out though. We were watching our little friend too, so he came along for the fun.
Tanner loves to eat ice cream! We went to Rita's Italian Ice with some free coupons that my sister gave me for my birthday back in April. I was feeding him some of mine and he blurted out. "I want a spoon!" Pretty good language for a 21 mo. old...so of course I gave him a spoon and it became in occasion to take a picture. This kid makes me smile. Sure love him!
Notice that in this picture he found the ice-cream scoop from the drawer at home. He then asked for ice-cream. I am seeing a trend with him (and no he did not get any ice-cream this time).
I was busy doing something and when I came back Tanner had gotten a banana off of the top of the dishwasher and had unpeeled it. I was pretty impressed we was able to do it all on his own. I love how happy he was about it. I also took a picture of him crying that same day. It was because I wouldn't give him a doughnut. He was very distressed about it. I felt bad taking a video of him crying but it was just so cute how much he loves to eat doughnuts. Doughnuts are a favorite of Trent's, and we only buy them on special occasions. I think Tanner is following in his dad's footsteps.
Tanner thinks his twin cousins are the best. They get into all sorts of things together.
This was during the first activity of the year for our new resident council. We had a concert out in the village bowl listening to Kalai. Tanner kept running onto the grassy area in front to dance around with the other kids.
