I can't believe my baby now three!!! We sort of spoiled Tanner for his birthday. I have yet to make him a themed crazy big party with friends. However, we did a lot of fun activities as a family and also enjoyed a few things with extended family. I think he enjoyed himself because he has asked multiple times since his birthday, if he can have another birthday...hah...its cute. Usually brings me birthday candles and asks if he can have another birthday.
To start off we took him to Jungle Gyms with his twin cousins on Tuesday. We went then because it is $2 Tuesday. We tried to help Tanner understand it was for his birthday, even though it was almost a week before his birthday.
Then on Friday, the night before his actual "Birthday," which was on Saturday, we had the twins over for a sleep over. They were sweet and brought him some of their toys for his birthday present. I think they went a little overboard....he got like 8 things...haha....it was cute. They ate yummy popsicle that he got to pick out at that store and watched a movie before bed.

Tanner loved his ninja turtle shirts he got from grandma and grandpa Parkinson.
He loved the card and stickers he got from Grandma and Grandpa Adams as well. We were also able to get him some other things he needed with the money they sent. Thank you!
Saturday afternoon we meet up with Grandpa Parkinson and Trina's family. We walked for about 2 miles to trax and then road the Train. Tanner thought it was great!
Then on Sunday we had family over for cake and ice-cream. Tanner choose Funfettie cupcakes and "Pink Lemonade" frosting (yeah, it doesn't taste that great, but it was what he wanted), with star sprinkles. Fun times!
AND then of course because Trent and I had gifts that weren't really Sunday appropriate, we decided to give him our gifts on Monday morning. I would have given them to him on Friday night when he had his sleepover, but Trent had to work and really wanted to be there when he opened his gifts. "So he could play with them, with Tanner." So...yeah, pretty much almost a whole week of birthday stuff. It was pretty darn fun!
A sword to have sword fights with. Tanner is really into fighting right now, so we thought we would try to direct it in a positive way. The rule stands that you can only fight someone if they have a sword to fight back with...haha...he is always trying to come up and fight us when our guard is down.
Haha...what did I tell you! He's so happy to fight!
What's next?
A T-Ball set!
And an awesome remote controlled car.
Time to play! Sword fight with grandma ;)
Haha! Yes you can tell this is his first time holding a bat. I realized the box for this thing said 1+ on it. Considering it was a gift for his 3rd birthday we may be a little late getting him started. Oh well, it's not like Trent and I are big baseball fans anyway.
So cute! Dad trying to teach Tanner how to use a bat.
The bat thing didn't last too long, and then it was back to sword fighting. Yay!

It was fun to see all the cousin pictures! Happy Birthday Tanner!
