It is about a 13 hour drive from our place to Trent's parents home. That long drive there and back, plus driving here and there for our little trip to the Redwoods....well lets just say we spent a LOT of time in the car. I couldn't help but take some pictures of Tanner. He is so funny sometimes.
I believe this was at the beginning of out trip...the morning we headed out to CA!
We stopped at McDonald's a lot on the drive so tanner cold play every few hours. It helped the drive go more smoothly.
We were driving back from the Redwoods to Grandma and Grandpa's and Tanner had started to fuss a lot and cry. In this picture was finally happy while he put goldfish in his feet to eat. I didn't even care....at least he wasn't crying anymore...haha. Where does he come up with these ideas?
He was so proud of himself!
The only time Tanner would fall asleep was if he had put his blanket over his head. It always made me happy when I glanced back when he was fussing if I saw that he had finally moved the blanket over his head because it was a sign that he was likely going to go to sleep...finally!
I remember torturous car rides in my family where my dad would make all of us sing songs together...those really weird boy scout songs, or ghetto songs from Delta. I hated it as a child, but as I look back now those are some of the fondest/funniest memories during trips with my family that I have. That or playing games in the car together.
I guess in a way I feel inclined to make my family talk during long trips...or at least sing annoying songs. I sort of pride myself on the fact that we don't let Tanner watch movies in the car. At least not normally, but by the end of our trip....with another 13 hours traveling back home...Tanner had HAD IT. I decided during the last few hours of our trip home that he could watch "Dragon 2" on the laptop. He was happy to watch it!
